Yo La Tengo – A Shower Of April Shows

Currently touring Australia with David Kilgour (where the Sydney promoter helpfully described them as "New Jersey art punks" — there's the next album's sticker copy, then) Yo La Tengo return to the United States next month just in time to fulfill their contractual commitment to play every town in America at least twice this year.  Don't worry, Billings, they'll get to you eventually.

  1. Dan Says:

who’s opening for them this tour?

and is matador not getting a showcase night somewhere? how’s about compiling all your bands’ sxsw appearances in one spot?

  2. Gerard Says:

we’re still waiting for a confirmation regarding US support.

re : SXSW. Though Matador is not doing a “showcase”, several of our bands are playing SXSW, amongst them, Shearwater (Presbytarian Church, 3/15, 7:30pm), the Ponys (Emo’s, March 15, 1am), Times New Viking (Exodus, 3/16, 10pm), and Dead Meadow (Club Deville, March 17, 10pm)

All of the above are playing various day parties around town that week (in the case of the Ponys, more than one, plus a Waterloo instore on the 16th) — has loads of info.
