NO ONE AT THE VENUE MAY LOOK MORRISSEY IN THE EYE

October 26th, 2006 at 3:15 pm by Gerard

Though I'm super impressed by these third hand claims of diva-dom, perhaps it is a good idea for support bands and headliners to keep a respectful distance from each other.

Until the end of the evening, all-star jam, of course.

I always knew he was a danzig rip off.

I suspect the experience of playing with The Magic Numbers this summer has precluded Morrissey from coming face to face with a support band ever again.

    It’s M-O-R-R-I-S-S-E-Y.

Ok, I see you’ve changed it, you were missing an “s” earlier on. anyway, to the point of the discussion. Who gives a fuck? If Moz never allowed anyone to look at him, he still produced a trunk load of great smiths songs as well as at a minumum viva hate and bona drag etc – i don’t give a shit if he never looked at me or you or anyone, i simply love those records, thats enough.

    “who gives a fuck?”

Well, clearly a handful of people do indeed, give a fuck, given that this unusual contractual requirement has been reported on far and wide. Does that have any bearing on the great man’s vast body of work and his massive influence on virtually every band that-does-not-suck? None whatsoever!

But enough about Glenn. I’ll have to take your word about this Morrissey fella.

I couldn’t look Morrissey in the eye. His voice sounds like the last throes of bovine death, and that disturbs me.
